A beautiful two weeks

Among my favorite home improvement accomplishments are the climbing rose vines around my front gates. I planted them less than two years ago, and for the first time in my life I have kept a plant alive for an extended period of time. I've learned some gardening lessons along the way, and last year we had a crummy blooming season because of bacterial infection and some pest problems. But this year I knew what to look for to take better care of my roses. My little "White Lady" climber doesn't bloom much longer than 2 or 3 weeks, but the blossoms are prolific. For the past two weeks, I have so loved looking out my window to this sight. And when I drive up to the house, it makes me smile.

The roses like really nice. I didn't know you had them. We found out if you clip the blooms when they die the plants will blossom every six weeks. We've always enjoyed roses until we moved here.
